Hello, my name is Jessica McBride MY VITALS--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------  Occupation: PhD Student Home town: Portland, ME Location: Manchester, CT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MORE ABOUT ME... I am a PhD student at the University of Connecticut in French Literature. I received my M.A. from UCONN in 2007, after graduating from Skidmore College with a double major in French and Government in 2005. My research interests include Quebecois literature and theater from the 20th and 21st centuries, focusing particularly on authors like Anne Hebert, Nicole Brossard, Madeleine Monette among others and playwrights like Jovette Marchessault and Marie Laberge. Although a specific thesis topic has yet to be determined, I am particularly fascinated by biography, fiction and how the two collide in many Quebecois texts.
